Bats Cave
Bats Cave is a speleological nature reserve in Peștera village, Moeciu commune, Brașov county, on the edge of the Piatra Craiului massif, a national park and protected area.
The cave, also known as Big Cave (Peștera Mare) or Badichii’s Cave (Peștera Bădichii), has been mentioned in documents for centuries.
Situated on the Bran platform at an altitude of 950 meters, the cave is 162 meters long and is home to solitary bats or grouped in colonies.

The specialists’ opinion from the administration of the “Piatra Craiului” National Park is that the cave should not even be visited. After all, it endangers the habitat of bats, the mammals from which the name comes. Then, Bats Cave is an undeveloped cave and you will need a source of light if you plan to visit it.

I just visited Carlsbad Caverns in New Mexico (ascended 800 feet!) and we were surrounded by bats at the entrance as well! Magnificent.
