What Ancestors are We going to Be?

Our ancestors respected and loved nature because they lived in harmony with it. We still see the harmony in villages, where a man works his land with love. You also can see it wherever there are parks and green areas as proof of man’s love and respect for nature. It is proof of his living in harmony with Mother Earth.

In another article, I was writing about a video where someone was asking: “Why did the Prince of Wales fall in love with this particular placeTransylvania?” The answer is “I suppose it is because the local population still lives in total harmony with the environment, with nature. It is a perfect cohabitation of the man with nature.” What about the rest of us? Are we living in harmony with Mother Earth? What legacy do we leave to the next generations?

Within ourselves, we all like to live in harmony with the place where we live. Where we do not is because we have not reached an inside harmony.

Even if we like to think about ourselves as the owners of the planet, we are visitors only. Yet, we hurt the earth by building, destroying, cutting down trees, throwing garbage randomly… We hurt the Mother Earth. When acting from selfishness and greed, what legacy do we leave for future generations? What kind of ancestors are we going to be?

Life is all life — even if it is in a cat, a dog or a human. There is no difference between a cat and a human. The idea of difference is a conception created by man for his advantage.

Sri Aurobindo

Life is not just the man next to us. Life is everything that surrounds us. It is the tree and the flower…. They grow, blossom and delight our eyes and our soul. Life is the planet we live on and the earth helps us with what we need for our lives. When we talk about trees and plants, about the whole planet, their life is an act of kindness, love and altruism. Because the planet is a living being that respects Ayni, the principle of equality, respect and give and take. And what about us?

When you say you love life, that includes everything around you. Not just the things you think belong to you. Although nothing belongs to us. We own nothing but our thoughts and feelings. We come into this life with nothing and leave with nothing material. We are tenants on this land, and everything is rented only for the time we live here. Moreover, loving does not mean possessing. It means respecting everything and giving that respect, and giving means receiving.

Ayni

Ayni is responsibility and respect. It is love and compassion. It’s everything. And it is us. Reciprocity.

J. Wilcox

It is well known that everything is but a pulsating field of energy. This is what the shamanic tribes have agreed upon over time. Whether we are talking about trees and rivers, birds and animals, computers and cars, clouds and rain, our minds and emotions- everything is energy.

Start to consider yourself as a being of pure energy.

Dr. Bradley Nelson

Pure energy is a child. His energy makes us happy and we love spending time with them. Their pure energy is pure love, and children love unconditionally and share it with us.

According to Ayni, we are all interconnected. Through unconditional love, we offer kindness, respect, and positivity; it is what you will get back. By giving more, you are getting more. If you want to receive …

Being all interconnected, doing something good for someone that good will return to you.

What ancestors are we going to be?

We don’t inherit the earth from our ancestors, we borrow it from our children.

David Brower

In the selfishness we have been taught, we wait for the return from the person we think we have given. When we are wronged by someone, we think of the reason without seeing whom we have wronged in our turn. So, the one who pulls on us only becomes the tool of the universe to make us pay for what we have done to another.

Perhaps we could reflect on how much we are hurting the earth. Then we would not be surprised at all the disasters we experience.

Living in harmony with Mother Earth

We do not come into this world or leave it together all at once. But in this life, we are together, and we can do something for the world we live in. What ancestors are we going to be?

We must begin thinking like a river if we are to leave a legacy of beauty and life for future generations.

David Brower

The legacy we leave to the next generations is living in harmony with each other and with Mother Earth.

  1. Dear Manuela, yes, What Ancestors are We going to be? Inventions during the 1800s and 1900s had an enormous impact on the world. People benefitted greatly but Earth suffered enormously at the hand of Peoplekind. And still it is ravaged. While I was in Transilvania June 2022, the raw beauty of the forests, big mountains, bears in the wilds captivated me, and the people living and working in their beautiful environment. Australian Aboriginals used to say, when I was a child, ‘The Land does not belong to us, We belong to the Land.’

    1. Their say reflects truth and wisdom, for we are only visitors on this planet. Thank you for your read, comment and reblogging! Many thanks for visiting Transylvania!

    1. It is what they want people know, because it is the way they manipulate our minds and follow their own interests. Yet, following historic documents and historians’ statements I have read, they have none. 🙂
Thank you for your read and thoughts, Dawn!
