Pluto goes retrograde from April 24 until October 3rd, 2019. As Pluto moves so slowly, we often don’t notice when it enters into retrograde, however this year, there is a different energy at play that will make us want to stop and pay attention.
While Pluto has been demoted to a dwarf planet, in astrology it remains one of the most important and influential to tap into and connect with.
Pluto represents the deepest transformation we can go through. It governs the process of death and rebirth. Its energy helps to burn things to the ground and then gives us the strength to rise up from it all.
Pluto is known as the Lord of the Underworld, as it has a way of uncovering our deepest, darkest shadows in order to bring them to the light.
Pluto works on mostly a spiritual or energetic level and guides us to shed our inauthentic self, find our power, spread our wings, and rise to be the best we can be.
Under this long retrograde period, Pluto is going to take some much-needed rest. It is going to stop digging and instead, allow us some time to reflect.
This is a time to journey within and to the heart of your soul. This is a time to take stock of where you are and who you are becoming.
Sometimes we get so caught up in the labels of life. These labels come from our programming, from society, from advertising, and from the limiting beliefs that we often tell ourselves.
These labels cause us to get stuck and boxed in. They cause us to lose sight of who we really are.
Inside each and every one of us is a surge of electricity. This electricity flows through the meridians of our body, giving us life, vitality, and connecting us to both the heavens and the earth.
This electricity is the same electricity that makes up everyone and everything in the Universe. This electricity is our soul, and even though each soul has its unique footprint, it is also part of the greater collective.
In a sense, we all share the same soul. We are all part of the same collective current that flows through this Universe and beyond.
Think for a moment of the power that is held in the thought that we all share the same soul. If we hold this as being true, that means that we are all one and the same.
We are all just different versions of ourselves out on separate adventures, living different lives and having different experiences.
We are all each other. I am you, you are me. And while we may each live in our own little house of a human body and see and experience the world differently, inside of us, inside all of us, we are the same.
We are all the same soul, learning, growing, experiencing, and trying to make sense of the world.
Under this Pluto Retrograde energy, we are going to be able to tap into this truth with greater ease. We are going to be able to feel it for ourselves and resonate with it in our own way.
We are going to be able to raise our vibration and our consciousness beyond our shadows and our differences, and instead tap into the unity and oneness of it all.
Pluto’s retrograde signifies a shift in consciousness. An awakening moment where we can see beyond illusion and into a new truth.
While all of this energy is present during Pluto Retrograde, what makes 2019 interesting is that this is the last retrograde Pluto will take before aligning with Saturn in January 2020.
As Pluto goes retrograde, it will be preparing for this alignment. It will be shining its shoes, clearing its throat, and preparing for the huge wave of energy that these two planets meeting is going to create.

Pluto Retrograde will likely fade into the background and become a distant memory as we move through the months, but when it goes direct again in October, we are going to start feeling the shift as Pluto marches onwards towards Saturn.
