Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron (2002)

Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron (also known as Spirit) is a 2002 American animated Western film produced by DreamWorks Animation and distributed by DreamWorks Pictures.

Even if, it is a kid movie, I love watching it especially when I am visited by some of my little friends. 🙂 I am glad to see their smiling faces painted with real emotions while watching the movie.

With a content kids appropriate, it is an excellent movie for families/ kids. Depicting the life of wild and free horses, Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron is a beautiful tale with an important message about discovering the true hero inside of you.

Its tale follows Spirit, a Kiger Mustang stallion who is captured by the United States Cavalry. He is freed by Little Creek, a native American, who attempts to lead him back into the Lakota village.

There is a real-life Spirit stallion that inspired the character of the movie (meet the real-life stallion here). He is one of several wild horse ambassadors at Return to Freedom’s American Wild Horse Sanctuary.

In this age of so much inappropriate content, this wonderful movie may become a “must see”. The characters do not speak. Yet, they communicate through their thoughts and body language, sending the messages of family, friendship, and motivation to follow your heart.
