Scropoasa Lake

Scropoasa Lake is nestled in the valley of the Ialomița River within the Bucegi Mountains and is a stunning gem with its green colour and the beauty of its surroundings.

At an altitude of 1,197 meters, the lake stretches for 2.5 kilometers and reaches a depth of up to 15 meters, and a vertical drop of 304 meters.

Constructed in 1929, Lake Scropoasa is not just an ordinary body of water; it is an artificial dam lake that plays a role in hydroelectric power generation and also offers a serene escape for recreation and leisure.
