Scropoasa Lake
Scropoasa Lake is nestled in the valley of the Ialomița River within the Bucegi Mountains and is a stunning gem with its green colour and the beauty of its surroundings.
At an altitude of 1,197 meters, the lake stretches for 2.5 kilometers and reaches a depth of up to 15 meters, and a vertical drop of 304 meters.
Constructed in 1929, Lake Scropoasa is not just an ordinary body of water; it is an artificial dam lake that plays a role in hydroelectric power generation and also offers a serene escape for recreation and leisure.

Recognized as one of the most captivating tourist attractions in Romania’s Muntenia region, Lake Scropoasa draws visitors from near and far.

Near the lake lies the renowned 7 Springs Waterfall, known for having some of the purest water in the world and also known as the water of immortality, making this area a true paradise for nature lovers and adventurers alike.
