A tree is a symbol of connection to all things. It is a child of Mother Earth and Father Sun, a symbol of life. Its roots reach deeply into the soil, while branches extending into the sky. We do like spending silent and intimate hours in their gracious company. Yet, how can we be like them?
Stay grounded. Connect with your roots. Turn over a new leaf Bend before you break. Enjoy your unique natural beauty. Keep growing. - Joanne Raptis
Stay grounded
The tree bends to the winds. Life gives us beautiful and ugly moments we hate. It gives us the storms that sometimes turn our lives upside down. We bend to the trials of life of all kinds. However, we could stop, or move on.
It is not easy to be successful in some of life’s battles. Sometimes you feel alone in front of the storms. Sometimes you lose people and things. The most difficult storms are your inner storms and only you can deal with them.
Despite all the storms, a tree is holding its leaves. The wind can blow them, but the tree does not die because of losing them. It keeps standing and waiting for another spring and other leaves.
You are the one to stay grounded for yourself, for in your heart you will be always strong and grounded.
The greatest lesson a tree can give you is to stand tall and proud, no matter how strong life’s winds blow against you.
― Matshona Dhliwayo
Connect with your roots
In the egoistic society, we leave our roots and the motherland because of money. You try to make new roots in other places. Despite that, at some point, your real roots will call you back.
I have lived abroad for a few years. I visited some countries and was a USA tourist for short. Even if I loved all the places, I never had the feeling that I can make connections with my roots in those places. I have never felt I was belonging there.
Living abroad I realised a thing: my life is not only about money. My life belongs to this land where I have decided to be born. It is like the only place where I gather strength from my deepest roots. However, for moving forward I had to let my past go.

Turn over a new leaf
It is not easy for us to let the past go. Also, it is not easy for us to see that there are people who succeed differently than we do. It is not easy for us to get over what has been or is bad in our lives. Only letting the past go, forgiving what our mind is considering wrong in our lives, or the people around us, we can are free ourselves from what we do not need in our lives. We are releasing a weight we feel carrying all the time in our back.
This is the only way we return to living the only moments we have all the time, the present ones. In this way, we are like the tree, letting the dead leaves drop and turning over a new leaf.
Enjoy your unique natural beauty
I said so many times that there are no two exactly alike. Yet, society wanted us to be like clones. Or robots. We cannot be. Moreover, every single one of us has a unique beauty. Maybe some are looking for external beauty. Many times it is given by the make-up, brand cloths … It is a fake beauty. In my opinion, the real beauty is hidden inside you, in your soul. Everyone is beautiful in his way. You only have to look in your soul, beyond the eyes.
Loving yourself and being content with your beauty you can see the beauty of others.
A tree has its beauty as a tree. A human being has his inner beauty, for you are not just flesh and blood. You are a piece of light and love, and a drop in our humanity.
In a forest of a hundred thousand trees, no two leaves are alike. And no two journeys along the same path are alike.
― Paulo Coelho
Keep growing
We are taught to know that we cannot do many things. You cannot do because of … thousands of reasons. One of them can be that others stop you, or are against you. They can be. What about you? What does stop you?
In a forest of thousands of trees, each one has or makes its space to grow. They do not kill each other, just keep growing. They follow the light, equally their truth. Overall, there is room for all of them, and room for plants and birds, and animals … There is room for everyone.
Trees keep growing and the more a tree grows, the more it grounds firmly and dreams high. It is because it knows that all it has is itself and growth requires patience.
You grow accepting your past as lessons you are here to learn. Accepting people around you as being part of your experience here on earth. Doing good and sharing your love.
Trees are sanctuaries. Whoever knows how to speak to them, whoever knows how to listen to them, can learn the truth. They do not preach learning and precepts, they preach, undeterred by particulars, the ancient law of life.
– Herman Hesse
Trees generously share fruits, shadow, air with all of us. What about you? Can you be like a tree and share your love with All?
With Love,

We can be more like a tree by standing firm in what we believe in and not being moved or wavering. Offer shade and shelter to those down trodden in life. As a tree offer shelter to wild life so can we offer shelter to humans.
